Ice Storm Mayhem

Toronto got hit by an ice storm this winter break. And I got to say, It was magical.

Okay, I probably enjoyed it more than those who were left without power for three days including Christmas. An ice storm is basically when freezing rain rains down and the minute it touches something it turns to ice. This causes the trees to become laced with ice and become very heavy and break on power lines. However, this also becomes a very beautiful sight to see.

As you can see in the picture the ice stuck to all the branches and made them
(Not my picture)
at least two more centimetres thick. And when the sun shawn through them, ohhh it was beautiful!

I can imagen that it was hard to see the beauty in this whether when you don't have electricity or heating in the coldest month. but I would like to say that every part of nature has a beautiful and amazing part to it. Walking down the quiet white street this christmas was an experience I got to say.

Im glad that all the 300,000 people got back their electricity this holiday and are nice and warm, but I will also be sad to see the ice to go. Im sure the trees are happy though. ^^
